Yering Station Sculpture Competition 2016

Finalist in Yering Station Sculpture Competition 2016

Just been accepted as a finalist in the Yering Station Sculpture Competition 2016, very excited to be part of it again.  The work is still in progress, got a lot to do still, and its by far the most complex small (ish) work I’ve ever made.  But I really hope it will have a very interesting movement, inspired by schooling fish and the way in which independent creatures like fish almost synchronise together to form a larger integrated entity as they make these amazing patterns.  It will be kinetic, interactive, steel, stone, ball chain… Called Pisculenta (full of or teaming with fish; made of fish, fishy …)  sneak preview of a close up CAD image below 😉
